FROM THE WHISPERING PINES EDITORS: We hope you enjoyed our colorful
December issue. And, believe it or not, we are already working on
the January one. Since this issue will concentrate quite a bit on the upcoming
homeowner board elections, we hope some of you will submit some lighter
fare: stories of the frozen north, a good/bad Christmas this year, a different
New Year's resolution, or the like. IF YOU ARE A CANDIDATE FOR HOA OR PLEHOA
BOARD, don't forget you owe us a short bio. I presently only have
three. DEADLINE FOR ARTICLES AND ADS: JANUARY 5, 2010
Posted 12/7
I know we are all busy, but please remember that WHISPERING PINES
is working on the December issue right now. Monday, Dec. 7 is our
deadline. Please submit your articles, pictures, and ads as soon
as possible. We will wrap up at the end of this week. Remember
to use my new e-mail address: nancylee183@comcast.net THANKS -nancy

To Pine Lakes Cruisers
I have two cruises for next fall that look good to me. They
are at the same time so obviously we can't do both. Please let me
know if you are interest in either and I will go ahead with the one that
gets the most interest.
October 23-30, 2010
This is on Oasis of the Seas, the new ship from Royal Caribbean
which is the largest cruise ship ever built. It is so large it uses
a new neighborhood concept. Obviously the draw here is the ship itself
so there are three days of cruising with three days at ports. We
will stop at St Thomas, St Maarten and Nassau. Prices range from
$1119 for an inside cabin to $1379 for a deluxe balcony. Prices include
roundtrip motor coach from here to Ft Lauderdale, driver and porterage
gratuities and $261 in taxes and fees.
October 24-November 7
This is a 14-night circle Hawaii cruise on Holland America's Zaandam.
Prices range from $2299 for an inside cabin to $2829 from an oceanview.
Prices include round trip motor coach from here to Orlando, round trip
air fare from Orlando to San Diego, shipboard credit of $25, $331 in taxes
and fees, transfers in San Diego, and driver gratuities. In Hawaii,
we will visit Hilo, Honolulu, Kauii, and Lahaina. On the return trip
we will stop at Ensenada, Mexico. There are a total of 8 days at
sea, four each way.
Let me know which cruise you prefer - Judyehale@comcast.net
